Anyone else spotted these?
A few companies offering prize draws or vouchers for re-opting in to their newsletters ahead of the new data protection regulations.
OTOH books have a draw for $250 paypal or amazon giftcard.
Pure and light organic skincare have a draw for £50 to spend on their website.
Ali Winters has a draw for a $25 amazon giftcard.
I also got £20 off £20.01 spend from the white stuff, wasn't clear if that was related to GDPR, just said they'd like to keep in touch. Worth checking for though.
Obviously I can't post links to anything because it's all personalised, but we're probably all mostly on the same lists by now lol. I'm now wondering what else is lurking in the depths of my massive inbox.

Ignoring them, hopefully chance to de-spam!!!
Hopefully will be an opt ALL in or opt ALL out option in future. Not Y or N game!!!!
Some are saying untick now, though not always sure for Y or N to Spam :mad:0 -
This link provides some info, sorry for the length.
This bit refers to PECR, another bit firms will need to understand and comply with.
https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-pecr/electronic-and-telephone-marketing/electronic-mail-marketing/
So after 25th May firms shouldn't be asking compers to share the post, or tag friends to be in the running for a prize. It's okay if you decide to share it, but as for tagging, permission from the person would be needed.
That's as I understand it. But read the info for yourselves.0 -
Remember the opt out is automatic and you do not need to reply to the e-mails to opt-out.
I noticed on the e-mail address I have for "spam expected" things that some of the spammers are making out you need to opt out - don't do it as it is just confirming to them that they have a live e-mail address.0 -
I've had loads of those "Do you want us to keep in touch" type emails, never even opened any of them so dunno if they're offering any goodies0

It is already against the rules to ask people to share and tag but companies choose to ignore it, don’t imagine things will change.0 -
