Am i eligible for PPI reclaim?

Hi, i took out a loan with Tesco in about 2002, for 5K.
They said i had to have the insurance, i believe, which is £751! I cant remember for sure, but i wouldnt have had it give the choice im sure.

That loan is not fully paid off and is now in an IVA, so am i still eligible for the reclaim.
I wouldnt mind if they just took it off what i owe them, that would be great.

Can you prove that they said that you would not get the loan without PPI?
Were you eligible for the benefits at the time?

As I see it you can cancel now but you would not get a backdated refund unless you can prove that it was missold to you.

Well im assuming it is canceled as my IVA is dealing with that, not much need for it really.

Can they prove that they did give me the option, that is the question. I say they didnt, like many others, and they never had to prove it.

Did you apply online or on paper?
If you ticked the box or signed an agreement with it on I don't see that you have a valid reason to complain now.
