I heard an advert yesterday evening driving back from Suffolk and said I would look into it this morning. I googled the company and after reading what they said I fell about laughing.

Best advice is to read the Solor PV FAQ's thread.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3872445/solar-pv-frequently-asked-questions-and-answers
You will find loads of great advice there and if Solar is for you get 3 to 6 quotes from company's and come back to these boards and get advice about each quote.
You should be looking at around £4K for a 4kWh system3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
Don’t understand what’s so bad about Projectsolaruk, more expensive but more guarantees, guaranteed output, social energy, the guys came round earlier this year, the panels are amazing, actually the ones I went for are the most efficient on the market, people should do their research, lifetime guarantee is legit... which and trust pilot, in fact they fixed the dodgy install from the previous company.....who are now bust and as I stupidly paid cash to the last company have no protection or recourse....0

The above looks perilously like spam, or somebody who likes being fleeced. Others will come to their own opinion., so I'm not going to report it.0

Not spam at all more than happy to share an alt view, though as it doesn’t confirm your bias I can understand your reply. Read my comment about being fleeced, didn’t like it which is why gladly paid the extra, but hey ho each to their own.0

Silverwhistle has never shown any bias, she simply sticks up for those looking for a good deal.
So when a new poster comes along and praises a company that has received no end of complaints on here, and all for the same reason - selling at inflated prices whilst verbally quoting enormous savings and incomes, but when the paperwork is checked, none of that appears on it, then raising concerns seems like the responsible thing to do.
The experienced and long standing PV'ers on here know a scam when they see it, especially ones claiming to install 'the most efficient panels on the market', when a kWp is a kWp is a kWp, only the size of the panels will vary, not the output, unless you believe that a pound of lead weighs more than a pound of feathers?
So paying more, for nothing, is actually a good way to get fleeced again.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
