Would be helpful if you told use which country, what roughly the pallet contains and the weight. Then you may get help. The more I live, the more I learn.

Road freight is usually the cheapest route but not the fastest. Ring around a few roadfreight courier companies for quote. Also bear in mind duty and vat will not be included in your quote depending on the reason for shipping them.0

Googling it brings up a whole host of companies. Work your way through them by ringing and getting quotes. Really, no one on here is going to do that for you. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Why do you think that isn't relevant?
Because I am looking for a company that is 'generally' cheaper. I don't expect anyone to get a specific quote for me. I am asking people who do regular pallet shipping in Europe.
And pallets are standard in dimensions and weight, so a 'full pallet' should be enough for an estimate.0 -

They certainly aren't - and the contents is anything but!0 -

As someone who's been involved in more pallet shipments within Europe than the average person with the information given any 'estimate' is meaningless. There isn't a single 'best' and you're missing both a timing and location elements (both UK & Italy are big places with London-Rome likely to be much easier than Carlisle to Brindisi)
As you're unlikely to have access to corporate rates you're in the hands of one of the many brokers out there who may offer groupage from their facilities or a small 'man & van' option who are looking for a return journey.
If you genuinely want 'cheapest' and are prepared to put some work in then local FB sites at both ends might get you some luck0
