No you can't use your father's income if he's not going to be party to the mortgage.
Your plan is a non-starter so time to think of alternatives. You say that you want to buy a home large enough for the whole family because your father's situation is about to change. Has your father checked to see if he will be entitled to any housing benefit or other benefits when his situation changes? Could he downsize to a less expensive property? Who else lives with your father? Could they contribute more towards the rent and other bills?0
