Natwest loan Apr advice

Good morning,

An update regarding my recent post and advice please.

Basically signed for a loan at an Apr of 3.4% and it landed into our account last night.

Double checked this morning with them the first payment date which should be the 16th of each month and confirm the payment start date.

I was shocked to hear the dd date was changed and also the monthly installation had gone up £40 more also. I questioned both and was told natwest changed Apr and date of payment date. I have not signed anything regarding the higher Apr not date for dd and now raised a complaint with them.

I told them I signed for the lower rate and dd date, so surely they can't change it and just put it in our account expecting us to have agreed on the higher rate, and he did say this was the first time he come across this.

This is discusting service so far and anyone come across this or advise please?

What document did you sign that quoted an APR of 3.4%.
  • Sent us the loan agreement form with all the details of the Apr etc with a blue form to sign and send back.

What does your Customer Copy of the agreement you signed state?

By any chance was you approved, they sent it in the post with a higher rate % and in the excitement - you didn't check, signed it and sent it back without realising?
  • The agreement stated 3.4 as also all the documents which was enclosed regarding apr and payments.
  • Nothing else was signed for except this.
  • I personally think natwest is in the wrong here doing this which is very naughty of them.
  • The lady on the phone yesterday when I rang up to see the status, even confirmed which I asked for that if signed an agreement for a 3.4%Apr loan then that's legally what I signed in for and can't change it.

    Then follow NatWest's complaint procedure.

Also you don't need to make 3 posts in 3 minutes and spam the thread... You can press 'Edit Post' to amend and add anything you forgot to put.

    It's not 'very naughty'.

    It's an error.
