How do I go about changing to buy to let ?

Options
Hi there, looking for some advice before taking the next step.

I've been renting out my home for a few years (stupidly) and now need to change to a but to let. Is this an easy process (with my current lender) or should I go and remortgage with a different lender and change to buy to let at the same time (if thats even possible ??)

Not quite sure how my current lender would feel if i walked in and told them that I've been stupid but now want to correct my wrong doings.

Any advice greatly received.

Thank

I went to a broker for my BTL mortgages. You could see what your current provider can offer, but it might be better to see what else is available via a broker. Normally you'll need deposit (or equity) of 25% or more & an income of £25k pa plus for a BTL mortgage
