P45 before outcome of appeal hearing?

Does anyone know if its normal to get a P45 ahead of receiving the outcome of an appeal hearing? Or would receiving one before suggest that a decision not to reinstate has already been decided?

Thanks

Given that you appear to have already been dismissed, it was probably generated automatically, which isn't an indicator of the outcome of any appeal...

Why are you in a situation where you are appealing AFTER you've been dismissed, as opposed to at an earlier stage of a disciplinary process?

Where, in any disciplinary procedure, can an appeal be made before dismissal?

As soon as the decision is made - the decision might be demotion, or a verbal or written warning, for example.

Any outcome can be formally appealed against if the employee thinks it is unfair, but this needs to be in writing setting out the grounds for appeal within 5 working days. Preferably a new panel also needs to hear the appeal.

Of course, a lesser sanction than dismissal could be demotion or a written warning after the appeal has been heard.
