I am in my mid 30s and work full time and have a mortgage but want to improve my education. My main interest is psychology. I have a few a levels probably no relevance now. What would be my best way forward? I'm not certainly looking for a new job in this area but I want it to be a possibility as I don't want to do my manual job forever. Thanks for any advice.

Open University. I did a degree, mainly but not exclusively in psychology with the ou while working full time. My one regret was not doing it sooner. I was 23!0

A job of less hours?
I recently had a recruitment agent approach me with a potential to be in more stable job of 20 hours per week - I'm in my 30's.
After I initially thought how odd, I've started seeing how it could work with re study and further education and just getting to do other stuff. Less resentment factor in employment etc.0 -
See if there's any evening classes at your local colleges as many start in September:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I worked with a lady in her 40s who went back to uni. If you can find a flexible job you can work around study. Even full time courses don't run all day every day.0

Evening classes are unlikely to be of the appropriate level for the OP.0 -

The OU also has lots of short taster courses starting throughout the year which may be worth checking.0

Our local college has an Access to Uni course - my son got into a good uni after doing the course.0

You can go to university at any age so long as you are prepared to live on student income for the duration. Plenty of students in 30s and older in all universities. Or as already mentioned do an OU course while working however much you need to survive.0

Where do you live? Birkbeck is described as London's evening course specialists and a leading research and teaching university.0
