Aldermore Mortgage application timescale

Options
I don't know if there's already a related thread, I couldn't find one on here anyways.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had a mortgage through Aldermore could enlighten us with their experience and timescales please.

Ours currently stands at:
19/4/18 DIP accepted on property 1, put offer in which got declined
20/4/18 viewed property 2, loved the house, put offer in, offer accepted, new DIP accepted.
24/4/18 full application went in. Hard credit search done. Paid valuation fee. signed DD mandate.
25/4/18 asked for further documents.

Now waiting to see if they ask for any more documents.

We're going through a broker and he has recommended aldermore as my partner has a 2 year old CCJ.

Thank you for your reply @amnblog. My broker has very helpful and has kept us up to date. I just wanted to hear people's stories with their timescales when applying with Aldermore.
  • Hi @Chanlf91. In a similar situation to you so was wondering if it worked out ok and how long it took? Did Aldermore request anymore documents?

    Hi @MrOnion,

Yes it worked out great thank you. We got our mortgage approved after 5 weeks. They did ask for extra documents and in the end we was dealing with the underwriter direct who put our application on the top of his to do list and actually called us himself to tell us we had been approved. We're 9 weeks in and we're all ready to exchange once the seller is ready.

They're not the quickest or have the best deals but they have got us on the property ladder as FTB so I'm happy enough :)

Hopefully things will work out for you aswell! Good luck.

My MB seems to think we will be ok, once its gone to valuation it has already been looked at. It is a long and stressful process, especially if your like me and are impatient. If want anything further pm me
