MANUFACTURERS QUARANTEES/how do they work

i have some energy saving bulbs manufactured by philips and bought at Morrisons 3 years ago. They have a 6 year quarantee on them . Wel one has gone hasnt it. S o of i go for my replacement and i am told that i need to contact Phillips for replacement and that Morrisons only changes for up to 12 months . i know it sounds piddling but what are my rights. i thought redress was to the store and them to the manufacturers
