Receive letters and parcels not at home

Hello!

Can you tell me please the cheapest way to receive letters and parcels in a different place than home and then I should get notified to go an collect them? I live in Basildon.

Will I be able receive letters from Banks, GP, HMRC, Bills, etc that way? Or they only send them to home?

Also, will I be able to receive parcels from ebay, amazon, web shops etc or they only send to the paypal/debit card address?

thanks!

You don't get notified though, you have to call in regularly to check.

You can also generally use click and collect with eBay or Amazon for a small charge, or delivery to collect from Argos.

I always have my deliveries from Amazon made to my local Post Office when the option is available(i.e. not large items) it is free.

I can then collect at my leisure.

That's interesting but I need to go every 6 days to check for new mail, which is very inconvenient, given that I usually get 1-2 letters per month!

You wanted the cheap option. This is it.
The other services such as a post office box also want you check weekly, and there is also a charge.

Is there any other company offering such service?

Not that I can think of. Post goes through Royal Mail so at some point you'd need to set up a redirect from them. I suppose you could pay to have it redirected to another address if there is a friend/family address who would let you use that. Again, there is a cost and it's not infallible.

If you only get 1-2 letters a month why bother? Get them delivered to home; that's why you have a letterbox.

There are virtual offices / mailing addresses which if you want will open all your mail, scan it and email it to you daily.

Cost varies from a few £ per month to £100+ if you want an address in Tower 42 in the City (the former NatWest Tower). £18 + VAT pm in Basildon

Some will also receive and store parcels.

There are also specialist shopping receivers, usually for people outside the UK who want to buy things from UK sellers who don't send abroad. They receive your parcel and forward it on to you almost anywhere in the world.

I find my neighbours provide an excellent service, and it's free!
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
