Does happen sometimes. To be fair, didn't your relative query his lack of pension contributions?

He was also attempting to transfer in an NHS pension....... after more than a year this had still not been effected....and he has now moved on to LG in another area and is now waiting for both schemes to transfer in.....:eek:

I'm glad I'm retired. All the changes - since 2014 in particular - have increased the work load beyond all recognition, yet staffing levels have only been increased by 10%. I understand from my ex colleagues that their backlog of work has reached frightening proportions, so they concentrate on the urgent cases - ie people retiring. Transfers between Local Authorities for someone some way from retirement are very much low priority cases. No, it's not a good situation to be in - but they don't have magic wands to wave.
