Thank you everyone once again for the input.
I can work after a year of study on both a J1 and F1 visa for up to three years as long as it is related to my field of study.
As far as scholarships being given out like smarties, thats not the impression that the international student reddit pages gives, but the idea of using to bargain certainly seems to be popular and effective. Parsons is No. 2 in the world so i would like to think its a pretty solid institution choice.
If i cant find the funding, i will look into the international teaching. I am in fact just about to apply for an international school job in NYC!

I can't be much help with how to raise funds but i hope you find a way to go.
You seem financially savvy and we do only live onceOk it may not increase your earnings in the short term, but it may open doors that mean you earn more in the long run!
