Business going broke, will landlord chase?

So basically it comes down to the landlord and how vindictive he wants to be!
Exhausting every avenue to recover the debt is not being vindictive. It's business and your partner would have been aware of the risks and consequences when she signed the lease.I know he wants the property back asap anyway to sell it for redevelopment.
If that is really the case (and you can prove it) the dilapidations (repair / restoration costs) will not apply. Although your OH will still have to settle any outstanding rent and charges due to the landlord. It's worth £1.2m, so £20k will be a drop in the ocean.

If you move house you may find you are when you ask for supply at that new house.luvchocolate wrote: »If there is no debt with utilities the supplies will continue as before they will not put in a pre payment metre.
As those not on pre-pay meters are on credit accounts (you get billed in arrears) they do have a debt with the utility companies for whatever they've used since their balance was £0, one which should be included in the bankruptcy. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I moved house took over existing supplier ....no problem
I then switched to First Utility and was asked for a deposit to be repaid after 6 D.D payments made.0 -

Insistence on pre-pay meters rarely seems to happen now - I was never asked to have one by either my then supplier or any since, and I do an MSE switch :money: every year.0 -
What sort of value would the remainder of the rental period be worth?
do a deal or go BR0 -
