Comping in rented accommodation?

I found out today that I will have to leave my rented house in 3 months time and I'm wondering how people have gone about this in the past?
I know I can redirect my post with the Post Office, but I'm worried about those prizes that just rock up with couriers without a word from the prize provider beforehand.
I don't have an alternative address that I can use in the meantime so I'm just wondering if anyone can throw some ideas my way?
Thanks

I guess just don't enter any competitions where an address is required until you get settled ... try and stick to Twitter / Gleam / RC / Facebook type comps where they don't ask you for an address when you enter ... or use a friends address or something, they might not like this though if they get spam mail ... or just take the risk, how likely are you to get a surprise delivery?
Comp as normal for the next 2 months and then try and restrict what you enter in the final month if you're worried about it.0 -
I've been in the same position recently and I just got my post redirected and have made my peace with any 'surprises' that might turn up - I guess it's a bonus for the people who bought my house off me!
To be honest, knowing my track record, I think it's highly unlikely they'll have got anything out of it...0 -
In terms of unexpected deliveries, for me the vast majority of these have arrived by Royal Mail anyway- maybe as they have tended to be smaller. Redirecting your mail would catch most things if that was also the case for you. I have had the odd larger surprise that arrived by courier (a coffee machine was the biggest) but not many and not often.0
