Hi guys
I am 32 and have an extremely poor credit history. Until recently I haven't ever given it much thought as I haven't really needed credit nor wanted it.
After a quick check with noddle. I have defaulted debts in the range of £5000 spanning over the last 11 years or so.
I understand burying my head in the sand for so long is daft and I am paying for it now.
I don't know where to go or what to do to start sorting this mess out.
Noddle also shows that I have a ccj.
I also realise that I may have other debts registered with other credit agencies.
Any tips would be brilliant.
Thanks

Looks like you have six debts due to go statute barred this year.
You'd be better posting on the debt-free wannabee board0 -

Hi Valvermike and welcome to the forum
As fatbelly mentions some of your debts may become statute barred. That's when a company has run out of time to obtain a CCJ, and it will apply if there has been 6 years (since court action could have been taken) where no payments have been made towards the debt and you have not acknowledged it in writing.
If you are contacted about a debt you believe is statute barred you should send a statute barred sample letter https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/sampleletters/Pages/Time-has-run-out-to-recover-the-debt-%28sole-name%29.aspx.
However you could be contacted about the debts before they become statute barred, and these rules will not apply to the CCJ. It's a good idea to get in touch with one of the free debt advice agencies to discuss all your options to deal with the situation. Good luck with it all.
