Hotpoint Iced Diamond won't stop freezing

My Hotpoint Iced Diamond RFAA52 won't stop freezing, the veg in the veg box at the bottom of the fridge are covered in ice.

I defrosted the whole unit yesterday. Is there a way to resolve this? I am wary of ringing Hotpoint as many of these big companies overcharge for repairs. The unit is under five years old.

Ring Hotpoint or find local repair man?

Thanks,

Fortyfoot

Probably a daft question, but have you tried chaing the thermostat to a lower (Higher?) Settings

Also, check for any vents etc inside the unit ar clean and clear.

Any local repair man will be fine, it's a basic model so no specialist knowledge required. If it's just the thermostat they're not dear.

I rang local man, John Crossley yesterday, he called and checked the appliance, this morning he repaired with new thermostat, total cost £68. We are well pleased.
