Done routinely, commercial descaler products work okay - I generally use Lidl's as it's cheaper than the rest (AFAIK) and works just as well. I generally pour it on in a horizontal line across the top, and let it slowly trickle down. Ideally leave it for a few minutes and then wipe it over. Then rinse with cold water and, for a pristine finish, wipe it dry with something absorbent.

If the scale has been left to build up over time, then more product and more elbow-grease are required to get a good result.

In the worst cases, I'm not sure anything will get it all off.

Very much depends on how long the limescale marks have been left as the limescale could well have actually eaten into the glass.

Try waterless car wash and wax.
I got the tip from a friend whose shower is gleaming and spotless and it seems to work for me too. I also wipe down the shower with a car sponge every time, only takes a minute.

I have just used a turtle one and it didn't really make a difference.
Then I tried one I got in homebargains and that's really improved things, the glass feels really smooth when you polish it up.i might go over it a few times......thanks.

I have tried all these and no joy. But I have just seen a bizarre suggestion that I'm intrigued to try......WD40!!!

Apparently if the marks are bad it takes a bit of elbow grease and I'm sceptical. But I've got nothing to lose. We have resigned ourselves to replacing the door when we are tarting up the house to sell

    Will report back
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

WD40 is a water displacement compound, not, as usually assumed, a lubricant.

    It [STRIKE]should[/STRIKE] could work.

I use a loo cleaner which has limescale remover in it, poured across the top of the glass in a horizontal line and left to run down.

I use Cif Power & Shine Bathroom, not to be confused with Cif bathroom.

I just spray it on the glass, work it over with a sponge, leave it for 5 mins then rinse off. Comes up a treat every time.

Baby oil works really well, scrub with detergent solution and rinse/dry off. Then a little bay oil on a sponge then rub over the screen . (Think it might be an "Aggie & Kim" but it definitely works)
