Ooops - this may be a record, but I've managed to lose track already! It's been a heck of a day, for all sorts of reasons. I didn't go to Lidls in the end, having found a stash of butter at the back of the fridge; it just works better to tie the trip in with other errands & go on Thursday morning when I can drop excess fabric off at the Scrapstore first, then go on to the wholesalers & the farm shop afterwards, which makes a nice round trip. I have spent about £15 today, though, on a little own-brand washing stuff at the local w8rose, some bread & fruit, and some fresh peas - irresistible! I will put £15 on my signature total & change it when I've worked out exactly how much it actually was.Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Another spend at Moggisons of £14.20, topped up on treats for dd, but got a few essentials as well. It took me over the 5000 more points so will have a £5 voucher waiting for me next time - that's always a good feeling
Also needed to buy sun tan lotion and got a deal from Groupon, so that's another £11.99 gone and its only the start of day 2

It sounds awful, but £40 of that is farm shop freezer meat, so it should keep me going for a while (and I might halve that with my rollover/bulk fund if I'm tight). And short of one aubergine, hopefully I'm good until mid month (got the last one in the shop, but needed two!!)
If you know you're only short one aubergine, does that mean you've fully meal planned yuntil mid month? Would you mind sharing your plans here or in the meal prepping and planning thread?May Grocery Challenge (30/04/18-30/05/18)

First spends £1.68 on some avocados and onions. I'm off to Northumberland, so that's probably it for the week.0

Loaf of bread, 1L milk, deep pan meat pizza, 3 tins beans, 4 tins aduki beans, 500g brown lentils, 500g mung beans, 2kg red lentils, 855g sweet potatoes, 1kg onions, 275g red onions, 235g broccoli, 1.215kg bananas, 10 oranges, cucumber and a bag of kale. Not too bad.
£16.56/£155.
£138.44 left.
We still need to buy a fridge freezer, mentioned around 7 months ago that we needed to buy one. The freezer draws are just about holding together and slip off if not taken out or put in right. However now OH has had to duck tape the shelf he uses in the fridge so he can use it as it broke when he was putting his items away! We can't buy replacement parts as we did look all those months ago otherwise we'd do that.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
Can I be in again please, £200 for a 5-week month (29 April - 3 June) for two adults, groceries only.
1 May - £25 transferred over to the bulk fund, leaving £175 in the budget.
3 May - Sainsbugs online order delivered today. Apart from milk, butter and one frozen item (a bag of scampi), the whole order was made up of tins, jars, bottles, bags and packets so that's all the heavy and bulky stuff out of the way for the rest of the month! Total spend, after allowing for a £3 MOC and a £3 freebie item, came to £41.65.:) Budget now sits at £133.35.
Tomorrow I'll sit down and do next week's meal plan before I do a trip into town on Friday. I'm taking a trip into Morrisons and also Heron Foods for a reccie as to what they have, prices etc. Not planning on buying anything (or at least, not much), so watch this space!
Welcome to any newbies/returners, good to have you on-board. :hello:Be kind to others and to yourself too.0
