Name meaning plaques

Hi guys - I'm loving the sweetie and hamper threads so I thought I'd share what I'm doing this Christmas fr the kids in my family.

My MIL bught one of those name meaning plaques for my LO from Ireland and it cost about 20euros I think. Well I thought "I can do that". So I made our other kids one each, copying the format, but replacing the names and their meanings from what I googled online and from what I know about my kids' characters.

I thought I would make some for the other kids in my extended family as Chrsitmas presents. Here are a couple of them:





They are so easy and cheap to make. a pack of white card from the pound shop and a nice 10x8 frame costs about 3 quid maybe. For the pictures I just did a Google image search for whatever the child is interested in - motorbikes, pink, sweets whatever, and usually get good results.

Pick a picture with littlr or no black in and plus the brightness and fade the contrast in a photo program, then print it out. Put it back in to print the writing on top.

Well done! I give these as new baby presents, I also add starsign, birth stones etc, all can be found with a bit of googling, & the you can save the sites for future use.
