Matched betting and re-applying for mortgage

Hello,

Me and my partner are FT buyers currently in the process of buying a flat off-plan and got accepted for a mortgage with Barclays in November 2017, but unfortunately the build has been pushed on and on. As our mortgage offer is due to expire in 11 days (30th of April) we will have to apply for a new mortgage. Our previous offer was obtained through a broker.

Now here is my issue. In the end of January i opened a new current account and started matched betting thinking some extra cash would come in handy when we moved. Since then i have had a lot of betting transactions go out of mainly my new account (but also some on my main current account) and transfers between My savings account, old current account and new current account.

Does anyone have any experience or advice on how to approach this? I really don't want to lose my mortgage and it did not even cross my mind that this could have a negative impact on my mortgage. But looking at my statements i look like a gambling addict.

I would appreciate any advice.

I had success with matched betting for a while, I eased off in the 6 months or so prior to mortgage application and also used paypal and other ebanks like neteller to be more covert for anyone looking into bank statements.

It depends on how many transactions you have coming and going and the scale of them - hopefully it won't attract unwanted attention
