57 Plate Peugeot 207 'Cutting Out'
Comments

I had a car that started cutting out, turned out the alternator was goosed. Got it replaced with a reconditioned part (and a new battery as it was 5 years old and the alternator problem killed it off).
Once both replaced it was all good.
Also caused an erratic idle, similar to what you are experiencing.0 -
Engine cutting out on a 206 1.4 petrol I had years ago stopped when I changed the coil pack. Also did erratic idling sometimed too.0

I bought a second car a few weeks ago its a 207 on a 07 plate, ive had stuff done to it and Its been fine since but i read this post after googling a problem which sounds the same..... so far its only happened once, i was at some lights the other day, went to pull off and noticed it had cut out and battery light was on. Re started fine and off i went.... im wondering if this could be the same problem !!!129300; i never noticed it had cut out at all. Its petrol. its had a couple of owners but for an 11 yr old car it has low mikeage 65000 to be exact. I know its been treated bad and not looked after. And i look after my cars, Ive had head gasket, water pump and timing belt replaced. but this little blip happened and i was thinking oh god ..... im gonna keep eye on it for now.0
