What type of flooring do you have? I've heard they're not to be used on laminate,?
Interested to know though xFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
We have a VAX which we got from B&M for about £30 I think and wouldn't be without it.
Ours is used on Tiled floors and also a stick-down fake wood tile surface (nicer than it sounds) and we haven't had problems with that.0 -
Ive got this one but dont really recommend it as its quite heavy.

I have a steam mop, but after using it for a few years I have become increasingly dissatisfied with it. Basically it just loosens dirt and pushes it round! A little will lodge in the microfibre pads, but if you wipe the floor with a clean cloth afterwards, you see that it's still dirty.
I have a Roomba and contemplated a Scooba, but ranges have changed and they are really just a tank of water dampening a pad as it goes round. They don't generally get very good reviews.
Some further research turned up Kärcher mop that has a tank for water (or water and detergent) and also one for the dirty water that has been picked up. I have purchased the cleaning fluid recommended. The dilution is a couple of ml per litre of water, so very economical in use. I'm really really pleased with it. It's heavy, so I try and do half the floor at once.
ETA I use it on engineered wood floor, travertine tiles, regular and bamboo laminate.
ETA cleaning it is easy, you put water in the tray and run for 30 secs, which rinses the rollers."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
