Ghostbuster costume - help!

useless
We're going to a halloween party on Saturday and were thinking of making two homemade ghostbuster costumes. There are costumes available to buy online but these are £35 each!
I've searched high and low online and can't find a beige-coloured boiler suit/overalls anywhere! Does anyone have any suggestions preferably offline and easy to get quickly! We have thought about getting white ones and then dying them but the cheap ones we've seen on the b&q website are made of nylon/polyester and we're not sure that this would work.
Any help is much appreciated!

I think Dylon do some dyes for manmade fabrics - I'm not sure how effective they are, but it may be worth a try.
Another angle would be if you've come across any darker coloured boiler suits, or blue lab coats - google 'ghostbusters' images and you'll see they were also worn.
It may be worth looking around any workwear suppliers in the area too, particularly any aimed at the building industry - I know around here there are a few, and they carry a much wider range than the 'normal' stores you may have considered, and often cheaper too. There are light brown boilersuits out there - my dad has some, although his came via a job a few years ago, so I don't know where they were sourced.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
It's difficult to know where you could shop irl (not online) as I can't see your location. What about buying a cheap pair of beige trousers and shirt? If they were close enough in colour by the time you had a belt and all the paraphenalia they's look like a boiler suit! Amazon have some white disposable boilersuits for 99p - £1.75 if that helps at all.
Have a good time0 -
Our footy team is going as Ghostbusters too
in brighton there are a few army surplus shops that sell beige overalls/boiler suits... i'm not sure where you are, but might be worth having a look at those sort of shops. good luck! ps. if you have any ideas for how to make proton packs, please let me know! thanks

for proton packs we used tesco value black rucksacks £4 each
old computer bits - not sure how we are sticking them on yet.
hob covers for the round things and four blobs for the red lights (tea light candle holders at the mo)
there are tons of geeks who have put instructions on how to make them on the web - some have gone very over the top!
there are logos you can download at: http://www.hprops.com/labels/0 -
