Claiming back mortgage charges

I've been hearing so much about reclaiming unfair bank fees and I was wondering if anyone could help me by advising me what to do.
I've read your article about bank charges but my problem was with the mortgage lender Woolwich. I had a mortgage with Woolwich for years and recently changed to Coventry Building Society, but over them years with Woolwich I believe I have calculated for unfair charges in the excess of £6,000. (Barclays now own Woolwich)
My problem is can I reclaim any of that back?
If so How long back can I claim?
Up to how many years can I request statements?
And any other things I need to think about.
Well thanks for your time.

No.
It is almost certainly an early repayment charge and that is legal and valid. It is also quite fair.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
