Rate Setter Loan - Apply Elsewhere?

Hi All

I have this weekend been approved for a £15k loan from RateSetter, at a interest rate of 12% ish.

I am looking to use the money to consolidate credit card debt as a lot of the interest free balance transfer rates are soon coming to a close, before they shoot up to around 25% APR.

Question is, at 12%, this is pretty high, would it be worth applying eleswhere to see if I could get a more beneficial rate, or would this be pointless, and affect me receiving the loan from RateSetter if i cannot get finance elsewhere?

For example, i apparently have a 50% chance of getting a loan from Hitachi finance.

worth a punt?

thanks for advice, suggestions etc.
