Asda wine £8 now 3 for £10

Asda have got some lovely Lindemanns Winemakers Reserve red wine which sells at £8 a bottle but is on offer at the moment for 3 bottles for £10. Just opened a bottle to try it to see if its worth getting for Xmas and i think i may have to have another glass. It's beautiful.

Not sure where else to put this without starting a new thread, but on the subject of Asda's current offer of 3 bottles of wine for £10 on a range of wines...

I'm sure all good moneysavers do this anyway, but do make sure you check your receipt before leaving the store if stocking up with this wine offer. Twice in the last week I have been to Asda to stock up for Christmas (for drinking, entertaining, and presents ), and both times I was overcharged by over £5. All was sorted (eventually!) and all is well now, but £5 (twice!) still counts.

Some great wines on offer including a couple of Banrock Station Reserve wines - retailing at £8 each, or 3 for £10

Made the mistake of taking my Dad with me too last night...it's a wonder the wheels didn't fall off the car on the way home

They are particularly bad at getting their wine offers right. Just last week I bought a bottle on offer at £4 and found I had been charged £4.99 when I got home. Got my receipt with me this week to check, but often by a week later, they have altered the shelf edge label anyway and it is your word against theirs ...

I usually try to check before I leave the shop, as this type of error has happened several times now.

They are also meant to give you £2 on a gift card if they overcharge, but they will try to get away with not doing this at customer services unless you prompt them (as if it came out of their wages!)

They had some very nice Andrew Peace Family Reserve Shiraz Cabernet too on the 3 for £10

Can vouch for the Banrock Station Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz and the Andrew Peace Shiraz Cabernet: both delicious!!!

Thanks to OP, nipped into Asda today and stocked up on the Banrock Station, what a bargain, and great as spare Christmas pressies, so long as I can stop oh from drinking it - now where should I hide it!

I just checked the asda site again for other bargain wines like this one and there seem to be shedloads on offer - 3 for £10 where there are maybe a dozen or so bottles at £7-8 each:

If the above link doesn't work for some reason, you can find the page by browsing to the Asda homepage, then going to the groceries special offers page (search for groceries or special) and then searching for '3 Bottles Of Wine For £10 (31/12/2007)'. On the resulting page you get the bargains.

Not sure if it only applies to home deliveries though that's the thing... or whether you have to pick 3 bottles of the same wine... will drop in tomorrow to check it out probably.
