We now use one called Altruist which was recommended by my husbands dermatologist. Developed by skin cancer specialists.
As far as I know only available on Amazon as they keep the cost down by not advertising. Two 200ml tubes of spf30 cost £8 last year.
A little goes a long way.
Just checked, still the same price.

We also now use Alturist which was recommended by mu mum's dermatologist. It's very reasonably priced as not for profit. Not greasy, rubs in well and a mild pleasant smell. Still £8 for 2 x 2000mL on Amazon. They have also produced a spray form this year which is £10 for 2 x 200mL.

£5/6 a bottle is extremely cheap so not sure how cheap you really are expecting.

I buy Ultrasun Sports gel which is brilliant as it goes on like water, evaporates on the skin immediately and is once a day application so when you take into account how much you keep re applying normal lotion, it actually is complete value for money. http://www.marksandspencer.com/sports-transparent-sun-protection-gel-spf20-400ml/p/p22395816%3F%26pdpredirect?extid=ps_ggl_DynamicSearchUK%20%7C%20Gen%20%7C%20DSA%20%7C%20Character%20Shop_DSAUK%20%7C%20Gen%20%7C%20DSA%20%7C%20Character%20Shop&s_kwcid=AL!2750!3!223240390299!b!!g!!&device=c&gclid=CMmx_uefyNoCFdbHGQodtLoGww&gclsrc=ds&ef_id=Vv1CQQAAAJTGTQhS:20180420064213:s

Well sunscreen works out pretty pricey when the guidelines say to top up on sun protection every couple hours. Most bottles are only about 200ml. If a person is spending £5 per bottle during the summer months, it works out at a pretty penny. I am not a tight !!!! by any means, but I would rather try find the bargains.

I generally go out in summer pretty covered up with a smart/casual long sleeve shirt on and a cap, and maybe shorts or jeans. I do like to protect my face, neck and other exposed areas though. I am light skinned, so don't want to risk it at all.

Interesting, thanks. I just seen them on Amazon. They have good reviews too. Now the weather is warming up again, I may buy some of that. I think it's going to be difficult to find a good brand for any less than £4 a 200ml bottle unfortunately.
