    Good morning everyone
Lovely sunny morning here. Sitting her feeling furious at youngest DD. Found last night that shes lost her job and has been lying about going to work for the last fortnight! .Whether shes been sacked or quit I can't find out..she says she quit but I have a gut feeling shes been sacked. She says she hated her job, fair enough but find another one first! To put this into perspective where we live fulltime jobs for young people are very hard to get, most are seasonal.....,she was lucky and had a well paid full time job.
Anyways fast forward to this morning and I've just been out hanging washing, as was my neighbour. Turns out DD had my house full the entire time I was away and to quote neighbour 'partied hard for a week.' I am so angry with her. Have texted her to come home but not looking forward to seeing her to be honest.
Sorry....rant over.....no one else really to rant to.

Could the week of partying have made her late for work or unable to show up some days? It must be infuriating that she has given up a permanent job but sounds as if she will only learn by her mistakes.

    Holly

I am sorry you are not seeing your brother this weekend but glad you have next weekend to look forward to and hopefully the weather will be better.

Had porridge for breakfast and just about to hang some laundry outside. Glad I managed to get the super king bed changed last night and the dishwasher is churning away. Had a phone call from oldest dd to make sure I was coming to visit this afternoon and will take a few bits and pieces for her and maybe another word search puzzle.

Probably should have something to eat before getting the bus at one o'clock but not sure what to make- maybe
eggs on toast or something quick. Will defrost some sausages for tomorrow to have as a big late breakfast if dd and sil visit before they go to see oldest. Hoping good weather is on the way at last but not too hopeful.

    Hugs to all

Hello everyone back home from my holidays and glad to see the sun shining at last as I have two washloads to go on the line.We had a nice time although the weather wasn't brilliant but a nice break and we had a couple of days when it was quite pleasant and if not hot at least dry.being in a caravan for a week with two small dogs that get covered in mud at every opportunity was to say the elast challenging along with three teenage boys who also seemed to be mud magnets :) but we managed as we always do. Only four months now until our main holiday on the IoW which thankfully will be in a large house with all mod cons :)

But we had a good time and with no wi-fi there was a lot of car playing and scrabble and various board games in the 'van so we amused ourselves OK.

brought odds and ends back foodwise that we didn't use so it will be used up this coming week,I have a pot of carrot and coriander soup on the go at the moment using up left over carrots from our holiday. I also managed to get to the House of chilli and got some nice chilli sauces to bring back with me..
I popped to the shops first thing and managed to spend just over a fiver on just a few bits to add to whats indoors already so not a lot of shopping needed which is good.

Right time for some more washing to go out on the line and this afternoon I shall be in ironing mode :) whilst watching catch-up tv

Hope you all have had a good week and the schools are back next week so life gets back to normal again

Well done Holly H on how well you are doing.

Having been offline for a week its good to catch up on everyones week today

Enjoy your weekend chums, what ever you are doing hopefully the sun will keep on shining

    Cheers

Elona - yes I think that's exactly what's happened re youngest DD and work and you're right she has to learn by her mistakes....but she's infuriating!
Had a day of pottering about making sure all my jobs are done before I'm back to work on Monday, Managed to get a load of washing completely dry on the line - first time this year!
Going down to my mam and dad's later as he 'needs' me to watch the Grand National with him! It's very strange how my dad's dementia gets slowly worse but his ability to bet on the horses....and win... doesn't. I saw quite a difference after being away for a week's holiday....it's a very sad illness.
When I was a little girl my granny would always give us each 20p to put a bet on the Grand National...I won 3 times with Red Rum! My dad continued the tradition with my girls from when they were old enough to pick a horse. We weren't encouraged to gamble at any other time!

Afternoon all, what a lovely day it has turned out to be, I can feel my mood lift because of some sunshine and warmth :T.
It was a bit overcast this morning so we had a trip to B&q for some electrical trunking and a tester paint pot. I picked up what I thought was the correct one for matching the lounge but now I'm not so sure, luckily I picked up another too. We will have to wait and see as we aren't ready to use any paint yet. We called in Al*is on the way back, mainly for some fruit as I only had one lonely apple left in the bowl :(.
This afternoon we have been taking down a "dwarf" conifer in the front garden, it had grown to about 8ft high and just as wide . Mr Fix It will have to find something else to hang his outside lights on in December :rotfl:. I also noticed that some of my herbs have started to peek through, hopefully Spring has finally sprung !
The cleaning / item replacing is still ongoing, the spice jars in the kitchen have been cleaned today and so has the kitchen bin. There's still more to do but I'm de-cluttering as I'm going along, today's offering ...... an old radio and some straighteners that are no longer needed. I have also done a wash load and hung it on the whirly :T.
Judi I'm sorry that Wales doesn't suit Grump, it's the air. Unfortunately most people here have problems with chest ailments, asthma ect... That's probably why he feels like he has another cold.
Holly keep on plodding along, I'm sending positive vibes and my virtual support to you.
    JackieO welcome back.
    NRA Mexico how exciting !
OK must get some tea sorted, oh it already is......... leftover chinese from yesterday, followed by strawberries and ice cream :D.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day. Hugs to anyone who wants or needs one.

Had a lovely day so far. DM only wanted to go into two different supermarkets rather than the three she did last week.

My drive home was so nice again, not blazing sunshine but bright and dry nonetheless. Apart from the drivers who consider doing 30mph on a 60mph road is perfect I managed the drive in good time.

My landscaping membrane has arrived :j but I'm not going to do anything with it until next weekend. I've got a full week ahead of my me so want to have time tomorrow to plan for work, plant my rapidly chitting potatoes and cook for the weekend as I've got guests coming. See, start of the good weather and everyone wants to be in Scotland!

My wine order is now in the barn though I am going to 'test' one which I've not had before. MW staff told me it's their biggest seller... hope it's good.

My postbox needs emptying, better go and get the post in. Happy evening!

Judi I hope you are ok after your fall
I'm ok thanks, just stiff and sore today.

Not the best picture but at least it covers my modesty.:D

Oh its not just him then. Still, we managed to go shopping (via the car dealership:mad:) and he has now put himself to bed.

Quiet night in front of the pc planned for me then. Hounds have been walked, shopping put away. I was going to do salmon for our evening meal but i'm not sure what im doing now.

Good to see you back Jackie :)

    Have a good evening all.
