Is my feather duvet dead?

My duvet is 50% feather 50% down. Although the pockets on the sides are bouncy, fluffy and warm, the pockets in the middle are completely flat no matter how much I shake it. Would a good wash and dry sort this out (it is machine washable) or is it a goner?

Very probably. My pillows were practically bursting by the time they came out of the tumble dryer.
BTW they are not joking when they say dry immediatly and thoroughly after washing. They start to smell funky VERY quickly and I read on this site that mildew sets in if they are not dried completely which may take several hours in the dryer:eek:0 -
I think a wash and a tumble dry on a hot would fluff it up a bit. You may need to use the dryer at the laundrette as these are bigger.
Good luck0
