Has anyone tried a shock wave device such as the Sciaticalm for pain reduction and did it work?

Have you asked for medical advice ?
When I had it years ago and pills didn't work, the GP sent me for physio. I had a few sessions on their 'industrial' TENS machine to loosen me up and then was given exercises which made me worse; the problem being that the practitioner had not listened and gave me exercises for bilateral pain. One trial of the new exercise made a huge difference, with the pain gone in days.
Nowadays, I get it, but physio will not work, as my spine is damaged,so it's take the tablets, though even a high dose of Tramadol didn't work, just before Christmas. (My neurologist was on holiday, but luckily the GP's in house pharmacist recommended a drug I am still using and it really helped. The neurologist has had success with it on other patients since, but I'm not allowed to discuss what that is.It's up to your GP/specialist)0 -
I've had it in the past, barely move in bed!
Doctor, told me the worst thing to do is 'rest' even worse is in a sitting position! The best solution is to walk, medication is just to make bearable so that you can.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Do you own a pregnancy pillow? That can also help tremendously with sciatica pain and even lower back pain in general.0
