We have done the sums in terms of affordability- income and outgoings, and this situation would actually leave us better off each month!!
The brokers we have spoken to admit this, they have so far only looked at a let to buy mortgage option, maybe we need to find someone willing to explore all the options more throughly.
Our house is Brighton is suddenly leaping up in value, it is right on the beach with sea views. A smaller house set back further from the beach has just gone on the market for £900,000. We are reluctant to let it go, don’t think we would be able to get back to the south east if we did, but love dorset schools and love the house we are in (currently renting) we also want to buy here, so if this isn’t doable we will sell the Brighton house, because we need to be in Dorset for the next 10 yrs, just looking at options ....0
