My dad has been looking at these recently and found Green Flag to be quite good price wise and especially going through Quidco. Not sure about RAC & AA but Green Flag give you the option of personal cover (which covers you to drive any car) or car cover (if you only ever drive 1 car) so works out cheaper for my dad as he only ever drives his own car so doesn't need cover for any other car.

If you've got Tesco Clubcard vouchers, RAC cover from £14.25 to £63.25 depending on level of cover.

I insure my car with the Pru & they include free Green Flag cover...also, some bank accounts have various car break down cover included in your subs - like Barclays - Co-op etc.
