Mortgage process

Hi!
We are currently in the process of an mortgage application, the lenders have come back to us asking for my partners P45 from her previous job and and first pay slip from new employment.
Looking at the lenders criteria it states-
"Applicants must have been in their current job for a minimum of 3 months with 12 months continuous employment. "
So my question is My partner was on a fixed term employment that ended in September 2016, however my partner went on maternity leave September before the end of her contract, her employer paid her till May but maternity leave ended September 2017, in October 2017 she started a new Job.
How does this stand with their criteria?

I'd just hand over copies of documents required and when asked, explain that.

Ok I'm just worried as obviously her P45 and first pay slip will show a 5 month gap, although she was on maternity leave and started the following month.0

Can't do much about that. If you don't provide p45 then they probably won't give a mortgage based on her earnings anyway. Maternity leave is a legitimate reason.
Only two chances.
Good luck
