Aldermore - DIP to full application experience

I'm in the same boat so I'll be following this post closely.
We put our application with aldermore in on 24/4/18, they came back for further documents on 25/4/18 and 27/4/18. Our broker seems to think that the application will proceed after the documents was sent. We've instructed a solicitor but we are holding off on paying for fee until we have an offer. Vendor has already made an offer and instructed solicitor on her new purchase!
I'm hoping they'll instruct valuation soon and we'll have an update. I hate not knowing what's happening!0 -
Were you asked for additional docs before valuation? What sort of things were you asked for (trying to work out of we!!!8217;ve provided or have more to come!).
So far we!!!8217;ve given, statements, ID, credit report, pay slips, proof of deposit and evidence of build up. Hoping that is enough? !!!55357;!!!56863;0 -

We got asked for original bank statements (we gave broker printed statements) 1 day after application. And a transaction on OH bank statement got queried 3 days after, also my OH had a large payment go in his bank so they wanted to see another bank statement as we're paying deposit ourselves. Last documents got submitted Monday. Spoke to broker yesterday and he told us aldermore are a couple of days behind. Have no update regarding valuation being booked in. If we don't hear anything by Friday we will be calling our broker on Friday as we haven't instructed our solicitor yet.
So far been 8 days (6 working days) on their website it says average of 20 working days from application approval to offer.0 -
Our broker instructed solicitors (referred) but solicitors wanted a down payment - which we don!!!8217;t want to pay until mortgage offer is through - so we!!!8217;re.l in the same boat by the sounds of it. The lender came back today asking for confirmation on statement as didn!!!8217;t show full balance - which I!!!8217;ve sent back no issues, so fingers crossed that!!!8217;s the final check and there won!!!8217;t be any issues. (Keeping everything crossed!!)
Our MA actually never told us the valuation had been done. Aldermore told us in the welcome call. Have you had that yet?0 -

Solicitors will simply require the funds to commence the searches once the mortgage offer is received. Without the funds in hand you'll simply being delaying matters. If there's no mortgage offer the monies will be returned to you. Solicitors will only charge once they've done some work on your case.0 -
This wasn!!!8217;t our experience last time and we lost about £600 because they commenced work before the offer was in - we!!!8217;re hoping that will be sorted by end of this week so won!!!8217;t have delayed anything by much more than a week.0

No we haven't had a call from them yet. I feel like we're bugging our broker for updates as I'm worried that we've not had a call or0 -
Posted without finishing.
I'm worried that we haven't had a call or valuation booked yet. That's why I don't want to pay out for a solicitor to get a decline from aldermore until we have an offer.
How long after your application went in did you get the call? My partner did speak to someone on the phone when paying for the valuation so I'm wondering if that was 'the call'?0 -
Maybe a week and a half - to be honest ive lost my way with timescales now as there was some back and forth with the MA. The call consisted of very basic stuff; name, bank detail confirmation, job titles, day the mortgage will come out. I was hopeful that was a good sign (to be discussing payment dates), but that was Monday...0

No we've not had the call yet then. We only put full app in last Tuesday though. We will be calling our MA today for any updates.
Our vendor had had their offer accepted and instructed their solicitor as they've got a 3 month time scale to move towns for work. Plus my partner works away july-september so I'm hoping for a completion before he goes away.
When did you put your application In?0
