Everything under 50p challenge!

Hi all,
I've decided to set myself a challenge for 1 month.. 22.10.2007 to 21.11.2007
... to save every coin in my wallet at the end of each day that is lower than 50p
It's really only a silly little thing for me to do personally - with no reason attached, but I'd love some company if anyone else is up for it?!
So, starting with what was in my wallet at the end of last night, there is already the following in the pot:
£1.26! :T

Good plan - I save all coins under 20p. Am not counting it until december 1st but there are lots of 10ps and 20ps in there which I know will add up! Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0

Just popped in to say that I only managed to add 15p to my total last night.

LP, I'd join this challenge but... I have an amount of 'free (to do what I want) money' to spend each week. What I don't spend of that I put into a savings account. I'll join in spirit rather than fact - good luck with your challenge.

Started in January with anything under 20p. Now got about £18 in silver & about £6 in copper.
Also got about £65 to spend in Sainsburys off nectar points, £22 in Asda off Asda card points & £7.50 in Tesco vouchers.

What a great idea! Usually do this every couple of days but will join in today. Might not have much left over everyday as sometimes I'm really struggling and scrattin round purse to buy stuff I've run out of, but I'll do me best.:T”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

What do you normally do with coins less than 50p, throw them away?.....0 -
You mean you don't throw away your coins at the end of the day, Dave?
Aren't you supposed to? Wow! I could have done with learning that aaaaages ago!
Maybe that's why I've struggled a bit with my finances for a couple of years!
Here's me just throwing away money at the end of each day!!! Doh! Silly me!
Welcome to everyone joining!!! Yay!0 -
