Down insulated jacket

I want a down jacket - budget £100ish.

Ladies.
Insulated at least 600 fill (RDS certified).
Hood.
Navy/grey/black.

Something like https://www.columbiasportswear.co.uk/womens-powder-lite-hybrid-hooded-jacket%0A-1773211.html?cgid=women-jacketsVests-insulated&dwvar_1773211_variationColor=011#start=5

To be honest I'm going round in circles looking at various makes. Is there any difference at this price level from Columbia, Patagonia and the Mountain Warehouse (cheap by comparison) offerings? I want the best value.

Thanks for the help.

I bought my north face down jacket in 2005 to go to the Himalayas and I'm still wearing it now. Before that I had a cheaper one that didn't last. If you can't afford a new high quality one I'd go for a second hand over a new cheap one.

I found Decathlon usually good value.
    This £40 seems good value

I can't comment on quality against different brand, however...

The £100 jacket you link is filled with 100% polyester not down.

I do not want secondhand and I'm not going to the Himalayas. Its a dog walking jacket to supplement my waterproof and Barbour.

Yes I linked to the jacket to give an indication of style. I don't have a Decathlon anywhere near and wanted to see the jacket in the flesh but that certainly looks promising. I will have a read of the reviews and check delivery options. Thank you.

Landsend has a range of down jackets including some in their sale at prices which are a real bargain: https://www.landsend.com/shop/search/womens/-/N-fxl?Ntt=down

This looks as if it might be suitable: https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-lightweight-down-hooded-coat/id_321804?sku_0=::SIL Reduced from £127.70 to £49.85. Quality is brilliant.

I got a really warm light one from TK Max. It does not have a hood though.

Get yourself a Mountain Equipment Arete. You can pick one up at the moment reduced from £160 to £128 with further codes (Blacks). Almost at the £100 mark and probably the best brand for your budget. Forget the others, they are fashion High Street brands. Go for something that people who trek/climb actually use and ME is one of the best brands for that.

I can second the Mountain Equipment clothing. I have the ME lightline jacket, it is lightweight & warm. Also keeps out the rain.

Decathlon do free click and collect to Asda over £30.
And free to return through Asda if you don't want it.

Breathability is very important. Without this, you get very sweaty very quickly, even on a cold day, when walking. Cheap jackets do not breath well.
