I have a mortgage outstanding of 131000 which is due in 11 years. I got in to financial difficulty and went with step change and that finishes next March.
I have only been paying the interest on the mortgage so far and could not afford to save anything for the balance due.
My question is would I get another mortgage in two yrs time when I’m 52. Looking to take it out till I’m 70.
This is causing me sleepless nights.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Assuming you are happy and in a job that can reasonably done until age 70 and everything else fits (affordability, criteria and credit) then yes.

But I would probably start making some overpayments as soon as possible. The lower the balance is at the end of the term, the less likely the bank is to try and call in the loan.
