i am GUTTED!! I’m going to have to retake it but petrified that I will fail again!
Has anyone got any tips at all?!
Any help would be much appreciated!!!!

I would suggest taking the study and responsibility more seriously than expecting to be able to successfully not just pass, but understand, such material in 10 days.
As someone who has worked in mortgages for 15 years and taken not just CeMAP, but Advanced CeMAP and DipMAP as well as many other exams, I find it pretty insulting that someone places so little importance on even just the basic building block of the job that they think 10 days of studying is sufficient.
Speaks volumes about the estate agent culture.0 -
CeMap 1 is really difficult, primarily because it is boring.
I agree with minimike, expecting to pass this exam in 10 days unless you are really good at exams or have a history in the industry was a little naive/foolish.
I failed CeMap 1 twice before passing it. The first 2 times I just had a read of the book and gave it a try and failed. The third time I spent about a month or so revising, doing mock tests, revising, doing mock test, revising, doing mock tests. Every time I was working out where my weak points were.
Give it the time it deserves and do not cut corners with it. The other exams are easier but you may as well get the difficult one out of the way first.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I would second ACG, for me it was the worst exam and I failed the first time having not given it enough time and effort as it covers a lot of ground compared to the later modules.
The latter attempts and this was repeated with parts 2/3 was at least 2 months of study even having had mortgage experience, reading parts everyday, writing notes doing the mocks then reading again and repeat over again.

10 days?! You will not be able to take in that much information properly crammed into 10 days. Take your time and study properly. Use previous study exams for practice. The Paul Archer study guide is very useful.I am a Mortgage Broker.
