hello, can anybody help us?

i just discovered i am pregnant, i wanted to know before i go and ask to the authorities and they can see that i am so ignorant in the field, what i can get in benefits from the government.

i am a student, i don't work at the moment, no savings etc... (i am EU living for 5 year in london), but my boyfriend does and he earns 24k annual.

i need to get as much as i can, i have been looking in those websites where you have to put all the details but they get just too confusing.
and also if someone can tell me how much really a child in london can cost.

If you are living with your partner then you will not get any large amount of benefits. You will get child benefit and some child tax credits which will be calculated based on your partner's income. Child benefit is £18.10 per week. yOu may want to post this on another thread as this one is for Child Support queries, and yours is a benefit query.
