Evidence of rental income

I own a property with my ex husband (both names on mortgage). The property is rented out but it is not a buy to let mortgage.
I have remarried and am applying for a new mortgage. Natwest have requested evidence that the rental property is self funding and wish to see bank statements showing mortgage payments and rental income. My problem is that these transactions go through my ex husbands account. Can I ask him to get certified copies of his statements and he can blank out all transactions other than the mortgage / rent payments? I know he won’t be willing to hand over bank statements or let me see his transactions /balances etc.

Does it go through a management company? You may be able to get something from them.

Is it self funding?
Do you and your ex split the rent equally?
If so, your share should be showing in your back account.
If your ex keeps all the rent, you are liable for the mortgage but cannot prove receipt of the rent (to yourself).
