Remove and refit thru axle

I need to remove and refit a thru axle tommorow very similar to this https://www.bike198.com/review-manitou-minute-super-140mm-with-20mm-thru-axle/manitou-minute-20mm-2/ all my searches keep giving me QR thru axles!

I looked online recently and from memory its an allen key at either end of the axle tightened until home then the four pinch bolts but don't overtighten? Does that sound right. I've removed this wheel before but it was a year ago and am not sure I got it completely right.

Which fork is it? I've got a Manitou Magnum fork but it sounds like it has a different axle to the one you've mentioned, it has the quick release lever on one side of the axle and then it has a spring loaded key mechanism on the other so you flick open the quick release, push the axle in and rotate it round then pull it out.

Really need to find out which fork it is, I wasn't meaning the fork on mine is quick release - it's through axle with a locking system on one side. It's different to standard through axles which screw in and out then just slide out normally, what you've described sounds different from both.
