Rail firms to launch new cut-price 'standing-only' season tickets
At last! Rail firms reluctantly accept the crowded reality of many people's rail journeys... :T

They are also launching an even more cut price offer which allows you to travel on the roof, but you can only sign up before 12pm today.0

What next ?
Standing only fares on airlines ?
Or Virgin Trains offering "the train ticket of the future" a new contactless payment method would see you tattoo your travel pass on your skin.
Perhaps - it is Heinz new chocolate mayonaise
or edible kitkat soap
more than just renaming "head and shoulders" shampoo - head, shoulders, knees and toes !0 -
I like their update:Update: 12.01pm, Sun 1 April: Since we first published this story, a rail industry spokesperson's been in touch with the following statement: "Check the date. Train companies would NEVER make passengers who pay £1,000s a year stand all the way to work and all the way home."
Although I realised what the date was the fact they can charge full price for standing anyway was my first thought.0
