1. Eligibility:
1.1. The offer is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland, aged 16 or over at the date of entry, excluding employees of Weetabix Limited, its agents and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion and their respective immediate families.
1.2. Internet access is required to enter. No bulk or third-party entries, automated or robotic entries or any entries submitted through any third party or entry duplication method will be accepted.
1.3. A maximum of one entry per person is accepted throughout the promotional period (see clause 2a).
1.4. The winner of the Free Prize Draw will be required to submit their bank details (including Account Number and Sort Code) to the Promoter to enable the cash prize transfer to take place.
2. Free Prize Draw:
2.1. The prize is £500 (five-hundred pounds), which will be payable by BACS transfer into the winner’s bank account by 23:59 on 31st July 2018. If the winner is from the UK, it will be paid in Sterling. If the winner is from the ROI, the prize value is made up of the equivalent amount in Euros.
2.2. The Weetabix promotion opens from 00:00 on 29th March 2018. Entries must be received by 23:59 on 30th June 2018 (the Closing Date).
2.3. Participants can enter at https://www.weetabix.co.uk/fruit by entering their details (full name, contact number and email address) and agreeing to the promotion Terms and Conditions.
2.4. Entrants will need to provide a valid email address and contact telephone number as these details will be used to contact the winner.
2.5. All eligible participants will be placed into a draw and the winner will be notified by email within 7 days after the Free Prize Draw Closing Date by 23:59 on 7th July 2018. There is one prize only.
2.6. The winner must acknowledge their win and provide their bank details for transfer of the prize within 14 days of notification, failing which the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw another winner from the valid entries.
2.7. It is the responsibility of the entrant to check junk / spam to ensure they receive the winner’s notification. Weetabix are not responsible for the winning entrant making a late claim on their win if this email is missed / unread because it was in their junk folder.
2.8. If the prize winner is from UK:
The prize value is made up of £500 (five-hundred pounds), which will be payable by BACS transfer into the winner’s bank account by 23:59 on 31st July 2018.
2.9. If the winner is from ROI:
The prize value is made up of the equivalent amount in Euros of £500 (five-hundred pounds) as determined by the exchange rate at the time the prize is paid to the winner and will be payable by BACS transfer into the winner’s bank account by 23:59 on 31st July 2018.
3. General
3.1. Queries about the promotion and entering the Free Prize Draw should be addressed to ConsumerService@Weetabix.com
3.2. Winner’s name and country will be available from ConsumerService@Weetabix.co.uk three months after the Free Prize Draw closing date, from 30th September 2018.
3.3. The Free Draw prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. The promoter reserves the right to substitute similar prize of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the promoter, the prize will only be awarded to the winner. All costs and expenses of options or items not included within the prize are the responsibility of the winners.
3.4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify any or all entries including but not limited to asking for address and identity details (which participants must provide within 14 days) and to disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation this clause.
3.5. The Promoter accepts no liability for entries that are invalid due to incorrect contact details being provided.
3.6. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
3.7. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers resident in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Island or the Isle of Man may also bring an action in their home courts.
4. Privacy Policy
4.1. Your personal data will be held by the Promoter and used only for the purpose of administering the competition in accordance with the competition Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are the legal basis for the Promoter's processing. If you do not provide your personal data, the Promoter cannot process your competition entry and cannot notify you if you are successful.
4.2. If you are not successful in winning the competition, the Promoter will delete your information promptly after the prizes have been awarded and distributed. If you are successful, then the Promoter will delete your information after administration of prizes and related activities.
4.3. The Promoter will not disclose or share your information with any third party other than those who are engaged by the Promoter to administer the competition. Your information may be sent to countries outside of the European Economic Area where the Promoter's (or its third parties') processing equipment is located in another country but the Promoter ensures that any transfer happens in accordance with the law.
4.4. Entrants have various rights with regard to their personal data which the Promoter holds about them:
4.4.1. a right to request a copy of that information;
4.4.2. a right to require that the Promoter erases your information (but note that this will automatically remove your entry from the competition); and
4.4.3. a right to amend your information.
To exercise any of these rights, please write to the Legal Department, Weetabix Limited, Burton Latimer, Kettering, NN15 5JR. You will need to make your request in writing, specifying the action that you want the Promoter to take and enclose proof of your identity.
5. If you believe that the Promoter is not treating your personal data in accordance with the law, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. You can find more details at their website https://ico.org.uk/.
