Nationwide Payment Holiday

Options
I’ve just lost my job and I have a mortgage with Nationwide.

Does anyone know if they offer a payment holiday or how they could help at all?

    Hi Adam,
Unless you're very confident of finding a comparable job very soon my advice would be to tell nationwide exactly what has happened.

Payment holiday, is a very misleading term IMHO.

    Good luck

Lenders are bound by a duty of care towards their customers. Authorised arrears for period of time shouldn't be an issue. However you yourself need to weigh up the longer term implications and plan an appropriate course of action. Arrears can soon escalate as charges and interest compound.
