Howdy,
I know this isn't at all related to mortgages and I've posted this on another forum, but I feel like this place is more my home than there...
I checked my last two phone bills last night to discover some 'Third Party Charges' applied to my account by a company called taptofun. I remember receiving the text messages, I think I even clicked on the first one I received. But that seems to have automatically subscribed me to a service which I never consented to.
Over the last 8 weeks I've been charged nearly £24. I contacted EE to query the charges and their advice was to email taptofun directly.
I suppose I'm asking whether any of you have had similar experiences and what the likelihood of getting a refund is. I'm prepared to go the whole way with this because it's troubling that clickbait could easily lead to hundreds of pounds of unnoticed charges if you don't routinely check your bills.
Any advice is appreciated.

Hello,
It looks like you have already been in touch with us. You can find the contact details for the company that as charged you via this page > http://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/billing-usage-and-top-up/understanding-my-bill/third-party-services. We only bill you on their behalf. So, we’re not able to answer questions about your charges or give you a refund. They should be able to help with the subscription and charges though.
