Debate House Prices

Do we really need more affordable housing 'starter homes'?

    What does a 2 bed terrace cost to build if you cost the land at farm land price but include all infrastructure and local amenity cost - I suspect 100k so unless this is affordable for starter buyers then it should not be considered a starter home.

    From the many developments springing up around my area the lack of parking spaces is planned, apparently it encourages the home owners to use alternative methods of transport. It works as would be expected for a commuter belt village/small town.
