Credit card carried over from before Bankruptcy

Hi everyone, i was discharged on December 31st 2017.

Just had an email from Virgin and realised i still held a card with them. I filled out the forms online and i just received the new card in the post today with a 1k limit the same i believe as it was before.

This account i didnt declare on my bankruptcy as the balance was 0 and to be honest i had forgotten all about it.

As i am now discharged, am i ok to use this card to rebuild my credit?

Thanks!

if you are discharged then all should be fine, you are only tied to the rules of BR until discharge

Thanks mate. I assume they probably never knew i went bankrupt? As i also had an MBNA card with a 0 balance and as soon as i went BR they reduced my credit limit to 500, however this is still 1k.

I found a store card at the back of the sideboard drawer a few months after I went BR. I hadn't used it in a couple of years and the account had a zero balance, had always been paid on time and was still valid. I'd forgotten about it and as there was no payment trail on my bank accounts - it just never showed up.
After AD, I registered for online statements - all went fine and so I cautiously used it - again all went fine. I carry on using it now as a credit builder by using it every now and then and paying off the balance in full each month. I don't know if I should or shouldn't - but I do and the store in question has since sent a new card when the old one expired - all seems fine to me.
