Too much debt, too scared to tell husband

I had a DMP in my own name for three years before realising hubby had got us into way more debt so I confronted him forced the issue and added him in. He knew about it from the beginning but doesn't know our debt levels and despite my efforts isn't interested so I just get on with it now. When it was just mine I did a budget plan with him listed as making a contribution of 850 a month as that what he gives towards household. I do all finances and bills. I had to provide info about me but not much about him. It was just listed as other income in a similar way to board from a lodger I suppose. Now I have to declare all his income even though I still get 850 which has made my budget v tight but it's so worth it as no c cards have been used since October and our debt is going down, slowly
